The Do’s and Don’ts of Outsourcing
Do take time to clearly define and agree the objectives with the consultants.
Do outsource the things that drain your time.
Do treat external suppliers as part of the project team.
Do implement a service level agreement.
Do document your requirements clearly.
Don’t leave staff out of the loop. Explain the role of the supplier.
Don’t forget to have regular formal meetings to track progress.
Don’t sign off on work until it’s fully tested.
